OWL Appoints New Officers to Board of Directors
Heather Ready to Serve as President, Georgette Pascale as Vice President/President-Elect, Beth Marsh as Vice President, and Maureen Tipp as Secretary/Treasurer
Kansas City, MO – January 13, 2016 – OWL, a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing ophthalmic innovation and patient care, today announced that Heather Ready has been appointed President, Georgette Pascale as Vice President/President-Elect, Beth Marsh as Vice President, and Maureen Tipp, CPA, COE, as Secretary/Treasurer of its Executive Team. Marsha Link, PhD, will remain on the Board as Immediate Past President.

Ms. Ready is currently Senior Marketing Manager at Abbott Medical Optics. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Marketing at AcuFocus. She has also held leadership positions in sales and marketing at USGI, VISX, Baxter and American Hospital Supply. Ms. Ready has served as mentor, manager, role model and leader of multiple generational groups for the past 25 years in the eye care industry. Previously OWL’s Vice President/President-Elect, Ms. Ready has served on the Board for 5 years and been an active member since 2006.
Ms. Pascale is President of Pascale Communications, which she launched in 2004 to address an underserved niche within healthcare PR by forging meaningful relationships between editors, clients and physicians. Ms. Pascale is highly involved in several national and local non-profit organizations, including OWL where she sits on the Marketing committee and previously served as Secretary. She has been named one of PharmaVoice’s “100 of the Most Inspiring People” and “Woman of the Year” by the National Association of Professional Women.
Ms. Marsh is Principal of BAM Consulting. Prior to starting her own consulting practice, Ms. Marsh was a key initial team member in four ophthalmic start-up organizations. Utilizing this unique combination of strategic marketing, business development and commercial planning, BAM clients are able to execute their ophthalmic corporate objectives. Ms. Marsh has been a member of OWL for 10 years and, in addition to her role on OWL’s Executive Board, leads the Development Committee.
Ms. Tipp, CPA, is an independent medical practice consultant specializing in financial and operational solutions. From 2000 to 2015, Ms. Tipp was CEO of NW Eye Surgeons located in Seattle, WA and, prior to that, served as auditor, controller, and CFO in various industries. A long-time member of OWL and Treasurer since 2014, her focus has been on bringing industry and medicine together to support the successful delivery of medical care.
